We need some help whenever there is significant snowfall. My mom has a heart condition, my brother has developed some health conditions, and I live with a physical disability. My support workers do what they can, but they are limited. I leave my house every weekday around 8:30 AM for work and get home around 5:30 PM. We also have to take my dog on regular walks and get him to daycare during the week. Therefore, my mom usually leaves around 8:15 AM, and we usually take him out the back door (to teach him not to go out the front). Given this, any help is greatly appreciated, particularly shovelling my ramp, the back steps, the sidewalk leading to the parking lot beside my house, and our driveway! Additionally, I have to park my accessible van in the parking lot beside us. If we could have help digging it out now and then, that would also be extremely appreciated! We have received help from a wonderful Snow Angel over the past few years, and we are extremely grateful to him. However, his life has changed, and he is less available (but will come whenever he can). Any additional support would be helpful and appreciated. Thank you!

I can’t manage the amount of snow in the driveway, sidewalk, and walkway/porch. My asthma makes it difficult to get more than 5-10 minutes of work done at a time. If anyone is available in my area, I’d be so grateful.

I am a dialysis patient and go for life-saving treatment 3 times per week. My condo corp hired a new company this year and only included shoveling front steps in the contract. I use a power chair to go to and from dialysis and the company refuses to shovel me a path down the driveway or shovel out my lift ( on and under to ensure the lift can go up and down). They won’t even put ice melt on the areas. I’m on ODSP and have no way to pay someone to come do it for me. This is my first winter with my power chair at home and I’m afraid I’m going to get stuck in my home all winter due to this and not be able to make it to my dialysis appointments that I NEED to survive. Please help!!

Posting on behalf of an elderly couple in Victoria Harbour who is in need of snow removal at the end of their driveway. They cant afford to have a contractor come to remove the snow on a regular basis.
